Pincourt, Quebec – Gurjot Singh, a 21-year-old man originally from a small village in India, tragically passed away on November 21, 2024, after suffering a sudden brain hemorrhage.
Gurjot, who had moved to Canada in 2023 to build a better future, was hospitalized just days before his death. His father, a bus driver, had sacrificed all of his life savings and taken out loans to send his son to Canada, in hopes of a brighter future for the family.
However, Gurjot’s life was tragically cut short, leaving behind a grieving family. His father’s financial struggles, compounded by the poor condition of their home, make this loss even more devastating. His sister, still unmarried, faces an uncertain future without the support of her brother.
A fundraiser has been launched by Jobanjeet Singh, who is organizing efforts to repatriate Gurjot’s body back to India and provide some support to the family during this difficult time.
“Please donate any amount you can to help,” Jobanjeet wrote on the fundraiser page. “Together we can help his family survive this terrible loss.”
